Travel is practically embedded in my DNA. My parents took me on my first road trip at six months old and I have been road-tripping around the U.S. ever since. As my father was an avid fly-fisherman, we mainly visited Montana, Idaho, and Wyoming, typically staying within a couple hundred miles of West Yellowstone, Montana.

As an adult I introduced my family to road trips, which is when I started taking photographs to document our adventures. My first digital camera was a little Pentax compact zoom, a fantastic first camera. When it was dunked in the Virgin River in Utah while visiting Zion National Park I went through a series of fixed lens superzoom cameras with variable results due to not really knowing how to work a camera.

With my first trip to Europe looming and my interest in serious photography developing, I splurged on a serious camera, purchasing a Sony a7riii in 2018. After that, my obsession with photography took off and my camera accompanied me on all my adventures, at home and abroad. I never spared it any wear and tear and I eventually suffered a scratched sensor, so this year upgraded to a slightly used Sony a7riv.

I invite you to share my adventures and enjoy my photos, which I will be posting to my site after each trip. I also take photos in my local area, so these photos may be featured here as well.

Finally, feel free to sign the log book and leave a comment or question. It would be great to hear from you.
