Europe 2018

This trip will always be special. Not only was it the beginning of my photography journey, but it was my first trip to Europe. We spent a couple days in Barcelona, one week in Perpignan, France, and then two weeks in Switzerland. Our kids and my mother-in-law came along for the first week, before we toured Switzerland for two weeks on our own.

Barcelona and the south of France were great. But I must say, Switzerland blew us away. Virtually every location was beautiful and sooo green. We saw so many awesome things, but we just scratched the surface of all the amazing places this country has to offer. We also discovered so much about international travel and learned so many lessons. For instance, we took public transportation for the entire trip, allowing us to compare the transport systems in Spain, France, and Switzerland. We learned firsthand the pros and cons of this way to travel which has informed the decision-making process for our subsequent international trips.

Regarding photography, I was a complete amateur but the locations we visited were so epic that I was able to come away with some good photos. My post-processing skills were equally amateurish at the time, so I have gone back and reprocessed most of the images that I have included. I still plan to add more photos to this gallery, so I have some work to do in order to complete this gallery. Stay tuned…
